My results with it have been excellent. The included instructions were sub-standard.
If you keep on top of it, this should work out just fine. Electric, has power, easy to push, and this is the 3rd Black & Decker Edger I have owned.
Unless I’m overlooking the obvious, it’s of little use to me. I find this edger does remain in the edger position when in use.
My husband had never edged before, doesn’t like anything not gas operated; but even he said the same thing. I would recommend it to anyone. Currently, I have to go over it 2-3 times wasting my valuable time. I cannot recommend this unit.

This item is exactly what I wanted and it is operating perfectly. Would recommend to anyone. I read reviews on this particular Black and Decker model and it seemed to be the best for the price. After looking at area stores I found this one on Amazon for less money. It’s easy to handle and maneuver. I still use it.
It’s not too heavy to carry around, but it has enough weight to stay in place and dig where you want it to. This is my first edger, and it’s definitely a keeper. The base is too light and the handle is too heavy thus it keeps falling over. It doesn’t work well if the edge is thick and the dirt is wet. After several days of rain the ground was still quite damp and I was eager to use my new toy instead of waiting for the ground to dry. By clogging I mean it would no longer kick out the grass and dirt it was cutting into.
It was ten dollars cheaper than the lowest retail price I could find locally and I did not have to pay shipping or taxes so it was a great deal all around. The best part is that I love this edger! My neighbor came over and used his yard blower to clean up some grass I’d left on the sidewalk using my string trimmer, to help retain the look. That’s how neat the finish is on the lawn.
