How Bad Is A Long Term Caffeine Addiction ?

What are the physical and mental effects of a long term extreme caffeine addiction ?
My 15 year old little sister drinks ( literally ) up to 6 liters of Diet Pepsi a day – and after hearing a lot of negative things regarding carbonated drinks I am worried about how much damage she is doing to herself. I just need to know the facts.
