Rap Phenom, RudeBoy, Brings In Big Crowds With His New Music
Andrew Knowles Is RudeBoy. Out of the heat of South Florida comes a new name in Rap music. David Abellard and Reign Entertainment have seen big crowds with this new rapper phenom.
Dade County Florida became the home of Andrew and his mother after they moved from the Bahamas when Andrew was only three. His father didn’t live with them. He moved regularly but did keep in touch with his son by phone or personal visits. When Andrew was six, his dad found himself in jail.
Things became more difficult for the young rapper and his mother at this time. They moved into the home of his Grandmother. His mom took-on two jobs to support them.
Entertainment was Andrew’s passion. When he was in school, he sought-out plays and talent shows to perform in. When he was only 14, he started to rap. He wrote and performed his own material. When he was 16, his passion found him looking to make Rap his career of choice.
Demos were sent to several labels and Mike Green at Platinum Recording Studios liked what he heard and helped Andrew acquire studio time. When he was 18, Andrew moved up the coast to Palm Beach County. He had doubts about his chances of success with the popular rap scene. Like his mother before him, he took on two jobs to survive. A couple of years later he met Smif-N-Gunz – local music producers – and reconnected with his passion.
Abellard and Reign are the experience this phenomenal rapper needs to continue with his talent. Airplay on Power 96 out of Miami and local performances are helping to spread the work Andrew has had a passion for most of his young life. A mixed effort from 2008 saw great reviews and more rap to come from this new addition to the popular genre. The passion, talent, real-life experiences and drive Andrew has shown – along with the recognition from various critics and agencies make it clear that the name RudeBoy has the potential to spread through the heavy layers of today’s competitive Rap scene.
