Find Good Niches
You will need to find good niches if you want to earn good money online. Niche marketing is now the best option for new entrants to internet marketing because carefully selected small markets (niche markets as they are called) have far less competition and thus you are likely to have a good potential for profit. But there is more to online success than just looking for a small market. Pick a decent sized market niche. There should be plenty of potential customers in your target market. How many? Enough for you to make a good profit while the market should also be small enough to fit the resources of your business. Tip: While you are doing your niche market research, think about whether your business idea is scalable. A good niche is one where there is money. Obvious, but worth stating clearly. If you are seeking to help the long term unemployed, your work is very admirable but almost certainly you will not make much money from this endeavour. Not only do your business prospects need to have money, but they must also have the ability to spend online. In other words, they will typically be credit card owners. Your niche must be reachable. For your niche to succeed, your prospects should be easy to reach online through websites, forums, mailing lists, community portals, etc. Jot down how you will connect with your prospects. Being reachable at an economic price is a critical part of your business plan. Select a growing market - not a shrinking one. A good niche is one with a future, one that is popular and is already growing on the internet as indicated by the number of related keyword searches in search engines. Easily dominated. Congratulations on your selection if you have found a market segment that you can dominate. This is ideal and exciting. How easily you can "own" the market can be the determining factor in whether you make $100 a month or $1,000 or more.
Enjoy the benefit of focus. To maximize the profitability of your internet business, we suggest you concentrate on a particular niche. A niche is a specialized, narrow segment of the market - and it better to find one that has been overlooked by most others. Find out what these folks want to buy and sell it to them. That is the formula for niche success. Think unmet needs. One way to find additional niches is to think of subjects which are associated with your first successful niche. Think about what is related to what you are already doing online. Ask yourself what else your customers already buy from other places and see whether you can supply it to them. After all, they already understand you and your business -- and they "know, like and trust" you sufficiently to do business with you. Build on that strong platform. Now that we have the internet as a worldwide marketing medium for any business, you have millions of potential customers at your disposal. I wish you success with identifying good niches and building yourself a stable business around them.
